Karnataka Administrative Services Selection Process

The selection process for the KPSC KAS Group A and B posts will have three selection stages. The details of the selection stages are as follows.

Pre-Exam for KAS Group A and B Posts: The preliminary exam is organized to shortlist the applicants for the KAS Group A and B posts, the marks of the Pre-exam will not be counted in the selection process.
Main Exam for KAS Group A and B Posts: The main exam is the second stage for the Group A and B posts selection and the candidates who pass the main exam will be invited for the interview.
Interview for KAS Group A and B Posts: The examination authority KPSC will interview the final selection for the KAS Group A and B posts.

KAS Examination Schedule

The KPSC organization has released the examination date for the first selection stage, which will be pre-exam. The Pre-Exam for the KPSC KAS Group A and B posts will be organized on 21 July 2024. The applicants should prepare for the pre-exam as per the pattern of the exam.

KPSC KAS Paper Pattern and Exam Scheme

The KPSC KAS exam will be organized through the offline mode.
The questions in the KPSC KAS exam are in the MCQ format.
The applicants will be given 2 marks for each correct answer.
There will be negative markings in the KPSC KAS exam.
The total marks in paper 1 and paper 2 will be 400, 200 for each paper.

Exam Pattern for KPSC KAS Paper 1

General Studies- 40 questions for 80 marks
Humanities- 60 questions for 120 marks
A total of 100 questions for 200 marks

Exam Pattern for KPSC KAS Paper 2

General Studies- 40 questions for 80 marks
Science /Technology/Environment /Ecology- 30 questions for 60 marks
General Mental Ability- 30 questions for 60 marks
A total of 100 questions for 200 marks
